Carol has over 25 years experience in financial, accounting, and management roles both in commercial environments and in public practice, over a variety of industries. She initially trained with KPMG over nine years and left as a senior manager after several secondments to the USA gave her the travel bug. She was engaged in commercial roles for six years whilst living overseas in UK/Ireland, with the most relevant position for this purpose being that of financial accountant for two years for a property development group involved in the completion of commercial buildings and mixed use projects. One of the key responsibilities for this role was to secure and maintain external financing for multi million euro projects.

On returning home to New Zealand in 2009 she became involved with Enable Business Ltd, a start up public practice chartered accountancy firm, initially as a senior employee then as a shareholder. She was a major part of the successful growth of the company to include 20+ staff with offices in Wellington, Auckland, and Hawkes Bay with clients all over New Zealand.
Currently, Carol is working at her most challenging and rewarding position yet – that of mother to Leo and Skye. Carol offers general and financial advisory support to HPM, as well as managing client feasibility studies.

She is a Chartered Accountant and a current member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (NZICA), being bound by the association’s Code of Ethics and Bylaws.

Carol enjoys running, yoga, and the great outdoors and is looking forward to raising the children in the fantastic Hawkes Bay environment.
