Evan McCarthy

Evan has over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry both in New Zealand and overseas. He is results orientated, with his recent project experience including a number of different industries, namely airports, rail infrastructure, park development and marine.

Evan is experienced in establishing the project management frame work, contract management, stakeholder management, risk management, planning and critical path programming, resources scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, maintaining health and safety standards, and working with the team to overcome challenges and achieve the end goal.

Evan was born and raised in Hawke’s Bay with regular visits while overseas, so he has a great appreciation and understanding of the region. Along with his partner, Karen, Evan has two children, Jake and Milla. The children were the main driver in the decision to return to Hawkes Bay so they could have the same upbringing that Evan was so lucky to have. The prospect of working with other businesses and clients across the region to make Hawkes Bay an even better place to live has also been a huge driver in joining HPM.
