The development of a new world-class 150MW geothermal power station on the Tauhara geothermal field in Taupo, valued at $600 million, represents a major advancement in renewable energy for New Zealand. The facility is designed to provide a reliable source of baseload electricity, harnessing the region’s geothermal resources to support the nation’s energy needs sustainably. The project underscores New Zealand’s commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and achieving climate goals.
Since 2020, we have played an instrumental role in the project’s success, having been engaged to develop and maintain comprehensive programme control systems. Our responsibilities encompass overall scheduling and the provision of detailed project reporting, including risk management, programme updates, and regular reports to the Project Control Group (PCG) and wider project team. Through our involvement, we ensure that all aspects of the project’s progress are meticulously tracked and communicated, fostering transparency and efficiency in the delivery of this critical renewable energy project.
