HPM were engaged to undertake comprehensive project management for the resource consent, main contractor procurement, and design phases of a new multi-use sports facility. In addition, we acted as Engineer to the Contract, ensuring both technical and contractual compliance throughout the project’s lifecycle.

The resource consent process was particularly complex, involving land acquisition, land use changes, and a wide range of intricate technical inputs. Despite these challenges, we successfully navigated a tight timeframe to meet government funding requirements, demonstrating our ability to manage multifaceted projects under stringent deadlines.

The project centred on delivering a state-of-the-art sports facility designed to significantly enhance the region’s ability to host major national and international sporting events. Once complete, the facility will serve as a pivotal community asset, encouraging greater participation in sport while attracting large-scale events that will stimulate local tourism and the wider economy.
