HPM were engaged to undertake comprehensive project management for the resource consent, main contractor procurement, and design phases of a new multi-use sports facility. In addition, we acted as Engineer to the Contract, ensuring both technical and contractual compliance throughout the project’s lifecycle. In November 2022, HPM were engaged as project managers to oversee the development of a new woolstore and office building on land owned by our client in Awatoto, Napier. The project was underway as a design-build option, and earthworks—including the raft—had been completed. It was at the end of the developed design stage with a staged building consent when, in February 2023, Cyclone Gabrielle struck, flooding the site, including the client’s existing business premises and operations. HPM were engaged as both Engineer to the Contract and Project Manager for the $31.1 million Gisborne Hospital Mental Health Facility. This state-of-the-art development was designed to provide early intervention and preventive care for mental health and addiction, reflecting both the needs of the community and the region’s cultural values. Hawkes Bay Regional Sports Park was constructed via a comprehensive phased development, the overall goal of this development was to enhance the athletic performance and community well-being of Hawkes Bay and wider regional area.
