HPM successfully delivered the complete refurbishment of our new ground-floor offices at 32 Hastings Street, Napier, transforming a heritage building into a modern, functional workspace while preserving its unique character. Working from detailed architectural drawings, we carefully integrated bespoke features, including a new meeting room built within the building’s original bank safe—an iconic reminder of its past—and two additional meeting rooms fitted with Autex acoustic panels to enhance sound quality and functionality. This inner-city heritage building was refurbished into new open plan offices as per architectural drawings. The building was also under seismic code and required seismic strengthening to comply. This was a challenging project due to its inner-city location and requirements of time frame. Overall, the project was completed to a very high standard and within the 5-month timeframe. We delivered a high-end private residential development executed over three phases. Phases One and Two, which included the Manager's Lodge and Implement Shedding, were completed in February 2019, with Phase Three completed in 2021. Phase Three involved a 1,000m² dwelling, incorporating a combination of in-situ and precast concrete, structural steel, and the latest servicing technologies, all finished to a premium standard.
