HPM were engaged to provide full project management services from concept and design through to construction, liaising closely with all stakeholders throughout delivery. The project involved redesigning and updating the office, which required staff to be temporarily relocated off site, making the programme critical. An existing storage area was converted into a new administration space, while a new 6m x 9m high-stud garage was constructed to replace the lost storage.
During construction, our client’s staff still needed access to equipment stored on site. This required careful health and safety management, as staff were entering areas within or adjacent to the construction zone.
We managed the project remotely from our Hawke’s Bay office, carrying out regular site visits to monitor progress, health and safety, quality, and variations. We also ensured inspections were completed as specified and that all final documentation was obtained in line with contract requirements.
