Hawkes Bay Regional Council – Wairoa Office

HPM was engaged to provide full project management from concept and design to construction, liaising with all stakeholders throughout the process. The office was redesigned and updated, necessitating the temporary relocation of staff off-site, making the programme critical. The project also involved converting an existing storage area into a new administration area. Due to the nature of the client’s work, their staff still had equipment stored on-site that needed to be accessed during construction. The health and safety of this access needed to be managed carefully as staff were entering parts of the construction site.

Additionally, due to the conversion of the existing storage into new offices, a new 6 x 9m high stud garage was erected for storage. This project was managed remotely from HPM’s Hawkes Bay office with regular site visits to report on progress, health and safety, variations, and quality of the project. All inspections were carried out as specified, and all final project documentation was obtained for final completion as per the contract.
