This inner-city heritage building was refurbished into new open plan offices as per architectural drawings. The building was also under seismic code and required seismic strengthening to comply. This was a challenging project due to its inner-city location and requirements of time frame.

Overall, the project was completed to a very high standard and within the 5-month timeframe.

Working with an historic building in Napier naturally presented challenges that required careful problem-solving throughout the process. We ensured that any issues were addressed early, allowing the project to be delivered on time and to the high standard expected.

In November 2020, The Bank was awarded the Art Deco Trust Heritage Building Revamp Award, recognising our efforts to breathe new life into Napier’s heritage buildings.
