This inner-city heritage building was refurbished into new open plan offices as per architectural drawings. The building was also under seismic code and required seismic strengthening to comply. This was a challenging project due to its inner-city location and requirements of time frame. Overall, the project was completed to a very high standard and within the 5-month timeframe. This is an old historic building of Napier, and with this always comes challenges that require problem solving along the way. This was a 750sqm heritage building that was being used as a restaurant downstairs and under-utilised function room upstairs. As it had been a nightclub in the past it had a large internal void where customers could look down from the 2nd floor to the dancefloor below. The building required a change of use which involved the void being filled in to convert the 2nd floor into high end architectural apartments.
